Packingtown Review Fundraiser: Prose and Poetry Karaoke

Packingtown Review, the literary journal produced by graduate students in the UIC English department, will be hosting a fundraiser at Jak's Tap on Friday, August 20th. Featured events include a “Prose and Poetry Karaoke Contest,” readings by local writers, a prize drawing, and more! Bring your poem or short prose piece to be read by a randomly selected reader; a panel of judges will evaluate each entry. Prizes will be awarded to the winners! $10 suggested donation. $5 to participate in karaoke. All proceeds go toward the publication of the third volume of Packingtown Review.
