NO MEDIA is an open improvisational realtime/performance media art event curated by Jeff Kolar, Nick Briz & Jason SollidayNO MEDIA aims to bring together artists from a broad range of performable disciplines (poets + dancers + expanded cinemaistas + free jazzers + audio/video noise makers + etc) to challenge the conventions of their practice by responding in realtime to artists from other disciplines.


TOBY ALTMAN is the author of a chapbook, Asides (Furniture Press 2012). His poems can or will be found in The Black Warrior Review, Fact-Simile, The Offending Adam, and other journals. He lives in Chicago where he co-curates Absinthe and Zygote, an experimental reading series. 

ADRIENNE DODT
is a poet, essayist, and amateur photographer. Adrienne's work can be found in Fact-Simile, Apothecary, Con/Crescent, and Monkey Puzzle magazines, and, most recently, in the anthology Body Electric. Ze is a regular contributor to Spoon River Poetry Review blog. Ze was the Poetry Editor for Bombay Gin magazine in 2008-2009, and ze edited the Next Objectivists' chapbook Collective Unconsciousnesses in 2011. Adrienne currently teaches English at City Colleges of Chicago.

J'SUN HOWARD's
choreography has appeared in multiple venues around Chicago including Links Hall, Northwestern University, Sonotheque, Lincoln Square Theatre, Insight Arts/Center for New Possibilities, Rumble Arts, Epiphany Church, and has been commissioned for Chicago Academy School for the Arts.  Literary work is published in the following journals: Chicago IRL, Danspance’s Constellations and Influences, The Garland Court Review, Inkwell, Storyglossia, and forthcoming from 3rd Language.
 

SARA ZALEK is an artist obsessed with sci-fi, time travel, witches, dreams, predatory animals, permaculture, dynamic movement, and the act of transformation. Inspired by Hijikata, Kazuo Ono, Yoko Ono, Pina Bausch, David Bowie, poetry, fluxus, and expressionism, she aims to develop greater openness, acute listening and fierce collaboration while embodying the collective psyche. Zalek graduated from SAIC in 2006, LinkUp resident in 2012, and has collaborated in over 50 unique live works in Chicago since moving here in 2003.

Red Rover Series is curated by Laura Goldstein and Jennifer Karmin. Each event is designed as a reading experiment with participation by local, national, and international writers, artists, and performers. Founded in 2005, the over seventy events have featured a diversity of renowned creative minds.
