Printers Row Event with Poet Kevin Young

On Thursday, March 13, Chicago Tribune senior writer/columnist and WGN radio host Rick Kogan will sit down with poet Kevin Young and discuss his forthcoming collection of poems, “Book of Hours," in which Young reflects on the grief he feels a decade after the sudden death of his father, what it means to be a father and what it means to be a son. Young is the author of seven books of poetry of his own, including “Ardency: A Chronicle of the Amistad Rebels,” for which he won the 2012 American Book Award. He is a professor of creative writing and English at Emory University.

This Chicago Tribune Trib Nation event will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Tribune Tower, located at 435 N. Michigan Ave. Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door.
